There are still plenty of "Living with Bears" books for sale . They would make a great Christmas gift for anyone who lives in Bear country.
If you would like to purchase a book give me a call.

Poudre Canyon Volunteer Fire Department
2nd annual Barbershop Quartet Show was a great success
If you missed the show this year then you'll just have to ask those that attended. It was a great success. We had over 40% increase in attendance and the totals for money earned for the Fire District was a bit over $1500!!

Credit for organizing the groups goes to Rex Touslee a member of Best Regards and former resident of the Canyon.
A Big Thank you goes to Phil and Bernice Camenisch for donating the use of the resort and to the Quartets for the generosity of donating time & talent.
As usual the Canyon folk donated a varity of scrumptious pies.
This year's silent auction was supplied by donations from canyon residents and business's.
All work to organize and run the event was a volunteer effort from fire department personel and community supporters.
A Big thank you to all !!!!
Other events of the evening included a silent Auction and the canyon quilter’s showed this year’s raffle quilt and sold tickets. Then to top it all off, there was a “After Glow” The After Glow is the impromptu singing by the Quartets as you enjoyed your fine desert of pie and ice cream.

OUR HISTORY
In 1959 a group of Poudre Canyon residents saw a need for a
fire department in the canyon and started a
petition. The petition, signed by 84 residents,
asked the District Court to establish the Poudre Canyon Fire Protection
District. On May 13, 1959 a District Judge signed the
decree and thus the District was born.
A Fire Board was established to oversee the fire department
and they immediately started work to outfit three
fire stations with equipment and firefighters.
The stations are located in Poudre Park (Station 1), Poudre
City (Station 2) and Kinnikinick (Station 3). In 1991
the District boundaries were expanded and a fourth station
was added on County Road 68C (Station 4).
The EMS division was added to the District in 1992
with the help of grant funding from the State of Colorado.
Our two ambulances are posted at the fire stations
in Poudre Park (Station 1) and Poudre City (Station 2).
